Our Two Cents
When I opened the box on these boots and tried them on, I had a very good first impression. I like the closure system which gives good tightness adjustment, almost like laces, but without the safety issue of untied laces. They are easy to put on and take off and the fit seems “normal” (for me anyway). And then at second glance, I thought they’d messed up at the factory and put the toe sliders on the inside of the foot by mistake! But in reading the literature, I found I was wrong… the sliders are designed for use in drag racing which is something I’ve never been around. But I do remember seeing drag racers on TV laying down flat on their bikes with their legs trailing behind, so I can immediately see the usefulness. But really, most folks will consider a boot like this for everyday street use and the slider thing becomes more of a novelty. So then, you can amaze your friends with your knowledge of drag racing when they point out the odd placement of the sliders. Seriously though, I do like the boots. They are comfortable and feel as sturdy and protective as any boot I’ve tried in a short top like this. These boots are a God-send! I bought these a couple of weeks ago as a summer replacement to a heavier pair of Thor boots that I own. 2 days later I was involved in a crash. (Read more...)
