Sizing Information

We found these boots to fit true to the stated size, so choose the size you normally wear in street shoes. I thought the width was “medium” or C/D. The buckle system provides some adjustment of the tightness over the foot, ankle and instep so that makes the fit of this boot easier.

Our Two Cents

The Field Armor 2 Boots are a new version of the “original” field armor boot. I thought the last version was heavy duty…. but good grief, these boots are absolutely bullet proof! The boot uppers as well as the sole are extremely stiff. Stunt riders, and extreme street riders (I’m told since I’m not one of them) value a very stiff boot and sole design like this because they spend a lot of time with their weight on the pegs. But for most of us, the boot is about styling and protection. Sure, the style is unique and rugged looking and if that is you, then you’ve found your riding boot. Comfort, hmmm, well, these wouldn’t be my choice for wearing all day at work or bopping around the mall, but I’m sure you could have already concluded that just by looking at these puppies. Anyway, when you see and feel the boots you will certainly think you got your money’s worth. The sole is extra heavy duty and looks and feels like what you’d expect from a full on construction work boot complete with heavy duty stitching to bond the sole to the upper. And the uppers are a combination of leather, vinyl, molded rubber protectors, textile material and even steel (on the back of the heel). I’ve got a good set of photos for you to see all these things close up. Just click the “View Larger Images” link above to see those. Unlike the outside, the inside of the boots have a lot of padding, especially around the neck, which is good because a stiff hiker style like this will take some breaking in to become comfortable for walking and you’ll like having that padding to help the process. The boots close with two very large external strap buckles which are very secure and there are no laces so the off and on time is easy and short. :: Paul, 10-04-13
