Sizing Information
Our staff tried on a few different sizes of the Airborne shirts and underpants and we found a good fit in the size we usually wear in men’s clothing. We found the fit to be pretty snug in our normal size which would be ideal for wearing under motorcycling jackets and pants. With the pants, definitely pick the size you normally wear in your underwear, shorts or pants.
If you want a snug fit in the shirt, go with the size you normally wear as well, but if you want a more casual fit, then choose one size larger. Personally, I found the shirt in my size to be good to wear under a jacket, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing a shirt that snug in public, so I’d choose one size larger.
Our Two Cents
The Airborne LL pants and LS shirt are REVIT’s best offering for warm weather base layers. The fabric is a complex weave of synthetic materials. The weave is such that there is stretch four ways and there are minimal seams. The weave includes a bit of extra material in the higher wear areas.
What is 3D knit technology you ask? Parts of these garments are woven in such a way as to get a “puckered” pattern to give some depth and keep the fabric from being flat against your skin. The 3D nature of the weave will promote circulation and wicking. To get the idea, think of old school seersucker fabric but in a high tech and tiny complex pattern. And it has to be high tech indeed to product a garment whose 3D pattern is different on different parts of the body without seams! Futuristic stuff here folks! :: Paul, 10-24-18
REVIT says: The Airborne LL pants – much like the aptly named Airborne LS shirt – complement each other in terms of being highly functional and extremely comfortable base layers. Don’t ride another day without them. By combining lightweight, highly stretchable yarns with strategically placed engineered knitting patterns (following the so-called body mapping principle), comfort is naturally woven into its DNA. Furthermore, the materials used in these pants draw moisture away from the skin and then to the surface of the fabric where it can easily evaporate. Additionally, by using the round-knit weaving technology, there are no seams that could annoyingly press against the skin normally found in areas where body armor is located or unnecessarily put on pressure at the joints.
