Please take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some pics with measurements. We are stocking these back protectors as an upgrade to certain 2014 and later AGV Sport jackets (please see those product pages to know whether this back protector is a recommended upgrade, and what size is required for the jacket).
Most of the photos in our gallery are of the size 001 back protector. Some AGV jackets require the size 007 back protector (and it will say so on the jacket product page). The size 007 back protectors are slightly larger. Both size back protectors are constructed in the same way (except for overall size of course).
If this back protector will fit your jacket’s armor pocket then consider it as an upgrade.
Our Two Cents
This back protector is a CE level 2 product. The materials look and feel similar to the Super Lite level one product except this back protector is a bit thicker (maybe one more layer? Can’t tell without tearing it open), and the layers are held together more securely with a fabric welt around the perimeter. The overall thickness is close to an inch and the welting makes the whole arrangement significantly stiffer than the Super Lite. For me personally, I’d opt for the more comfortable and lighter Super Lite model for a street jacket just because I think the thinner and more flexible design would stand a better chance of not being a bother. But of course you’d be choosing less of a protection level, so ultimately the choice is yours. :: Paul, 02-11-14
