Icon is best known for their stylish apparel and edgy designs, now they are working on building a reputation in the motorcycle luggage world. Icon really stepped up their design and features with the Urban Tank Bag. Easily converts from a magnetic tank bag to backpack with an integrated helmet carrier. Features padded backpack straps for those long rides, a separate compartment for a CD/MP3 player with cord grommet, clear view map pocket and the coolest feature in this Icon Urban Tank Bag is the integrated helmet carrier. To convert the Urban Tank Bag into a helmet carrying backpack you disconnect the quick release buckles on the non slip pad and connect to the quick release buckles on the opposite side of the bag. As you do this you will see the helmet carrier storage space (this is not a completely separate compartment sealed off from the elements) but it is a simple solution to having to carry your helmet in your hand when you are off the bike. I wouldn’t say this is the best tank bag or the best backpack with helmet carrying capabilities that we offer, but it has a good all around mix of the necessary features you would be looking for in a tank bag and a backpack.
