Collection of Customer Order Information
Through the course of normal business, we collect customer information like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc.. The information you provide is used to fulfill your orders and to communicate with you about those orders via phone or email. Those communications are necessary to tell you about shipments and to provide tracking, or to resolve any issue with fulfillment or other aspects of delivering your order as promised.
Other Ways We Use Information to Contact You
We use your email address to communicate with you through a weekly newsletter if you indicate your permission to do so (via the checkboxes on our order checkout page). We also send an email when you are awarded loyalty store credits (if your order included products that include a loyalty store credit offer). And finally, we send one email communication per customer order with a promotional message, currently one time per order, at approximately six months after order completion.
Customer Submissions of Information Other Than Order Information
Customers are invited to submit photos and comments about products that appear on various pages on our site such as our Happy Customers page. Customers are also invited to submit pictures and descriptions of products as part of our Customer Closet submission process. We may use photos and comments by customers to promote the sale of products either on the site or in promotional communications to customers (such as our frequent newsletters via email). However, we only display abbreviated names and general locations when using these materials. We will also communicate with you to deliver store credit/payment information as a result of your interactions with these site features.
Distribution of Information/Fraud Prevention
We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. We also share customer order information with third party vendors that are necessary to fulfill your order as promised. Examples are: credit card processors/PayPal, shippers such as UPS, our distributors who drop ship merchandise, USPS, BuySafe Purchase Guarantee. All third party vendors with whom we share information have agreed to NOT use any customer information for marketing purposes.
Commitment to Data Security
Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
